Cllr Tina McKenzie-BoyleMy family and I have lived happily in the heart of our community for 33 years and are firmly embedded in the fabric of Crowthorne and our Borough. I have served Crowthorne as a Parish Councillor since 2003, and in 2019 elected to Borough Forest Council as a Ward Councillor for Crowthorne. In 2017, I was elected Mayor of Bracknell Forest, and as a Board Member of the Fire Authority, my mayoral charity was The Firefighters, raising over £52,000. As a member of the Authority, I was able to bring the community fire station to Crowthorne which is a tri-service station available for the use of ambulance, police and community. My membership of Borough Council committees brings relevance and bearing on Crowthorne’s environment and safety. Planning: I’m keen to ensure all developments are sustainable, an enhancement to our environment and the unique character that Crowthorne has. I will continue to ensure the strategic gap between Bracknell and Crowthorne is maintained. Licensing: to ensure that our businesses continue to be well supported. Crowthorne is now a destination for quality produce, coffee shops and restaurants. Public Protection: Continue with the Neighbourhood Action Group and meet with residents to hear concerns. I’ve a good working relationship with key stakeholders in Crowthorne: CVAG, traders, schools, Wellington College, and a strong supporter of C.R.O.W. Let’s work together to preserve and enhance our environment, green space and our future. Crowthorne is a great place to live in and raise our families. My mantra is: YES! Now what’s the question. |
Nicholas RobertsonI have lived in Bracknell Forest all my life; first Bracknell, then Crowthorne since 1984 and still going strong! Bracknell Forest is a wonderful and special community providing excellent facilities for everyone. I am serving my first term as Crowthorne Parish Councillor, which I am honoured and proud to represent. The experiences that I have encountered as a Parish Councillor has made me want to take the opportunity to be a Borough Councillor for Crowthorne Ward. I have a strong inclination to serve the community, help and support the community, and develop and deliver what residents in the community want. As a father of a young child, I appreciate what the community has brought to children such as the excellent childcare facilities, schools, healthcare facilities, leisure facilities, parks, libraries, and so on. I am keen to collaborate with the community to help direct Bracknell Forest Council to continue to provide excellent facilities for the whole community. I would like to be of assistance and support to everyone in the community, in particular, those who are disabled. As a disabled person, I personally identify with the challenges that individuals with disabilities face, and I want every resident to feel they have someone in the community that they can approach at any time, if they would like my help or would like to have a chat with me. I would like to serve and support the community of Crowthorne: representing the community to keep Crowthorne the enchanting village it is. |
Cllr Bob WadeAs a resident of Crowthorne for 51 years, I have been an active participant in local village, church, school, scouting and community affairs. For the past 26 years I have been a Councillor for both Bracknell Forest and Crowthorne Parish Council and CPC Chairman for 12 years. Throughout this time I have tried to ensure that Crowthorne maintains its unique identity and sense of place. Recent Crowthorne and south Wokingham development proposals are substantial and potentially quite intrusive on our village way of life. As in the past, I am determined that any changes are harmonious and appropriately supported by the necessary infrastructure improvements. I am a keen to cooperate with and promote the various village stakeholder groups, including Buckler’s Park and Broadmoor together with the Crowthorne & Wokingham Without Parish Councils. I have a keen desire to forge links throughout our village. This vision gave birth to the Crowthorne Eye Community Magazine 27 years ago. As a founder and Chairman for 26 years, I have enabled the voices of residents, organisations and businesses to be heard. Further, as Small Business Champion for BFC, I am an advocate for local businesses and will continue promote their needs throughout the Borough. I have been a Board member of BF Homes (now Silva) and an Edgbarrow Governor both for 11years; also, President of South Berkshire Scouts for 14 years. Apart from my Council work, I am a choir member at St John's Church; enjoy reading, walking and photography. |
