Conservative Councillor Peter Heydon represents the ward of Old Bracknell on the Bracknell Forest Borough Council and the Bracknell Town Council.
"I have lived in Bracknell since 2009 and have served - as both a Borough and Town Councillor - representing Old Bracknell for the last 8 years. I really appreciate Bracknell as a great place to work and live.
Peter was pleased to be joined by Conservatives and to have the opportunity during the recent by-election to hear the views of many Old Bracknell residents from their doorsteps. Peter holds regular surgeries and is approachable and responsive to matters impacting people living in Old Bracknel and is looking forward to a full Conservative house in Old Bracknell in 2023. He will continue to work on more parking for residents and improved road safety, including speeding along South Hill Road.
"I probably enjoy my ward work more than anything else, helping residents with a myriad of issues, whether it is housing, safety, parking, care – or just helping resolve local neighbourhood “problems” says Peter. who values being a Councillor - a crucial link between the council and the community - providing representation and leadership.
On the borough council he is the executive member with responsibility for Transformation and Finance. "I am proud of Bracknell Forest’s strong financial management during very testing times – we have one of the lowest Council Tax rates in the country - and a successful transformation programme which, despite external pressures, means that we have maintained and improved all our vital services to our residents.," says Peter.
