I have had the privilege of representing you as a Conservative Councillor for the Bullbrook Ward over the last eight years on the Borough Council. I ask for your vote to continue the work that makes Bracknell Forest Council one of the best run councils in the country. I have always cared about our community and its environment, demonstrated by the commitment given over many years to the life of Bracknell. In an ever changing world I believe in getting involved to help create improvements for the people who live in Bracknell Forest.
I have served on the Borough Council for nearly 24 years in many different roles. During the last few years I have been the Vice Chairman of the Scrutiny Commission investigating the working practices and procedures of the Council to ensure it maintains the very best standards to serve residents. I have also been Chairman of the Environment Panel, scrutinising all aspects pertaining to this very important subject.
I have lived in Bracknell for 55 years moving from West London. Before retiring, I worked in Reading as the Payroll Manager for an international petrochemical construction company. I am married to Jan and have one son who was educated at local schools.
Until recently and for many years, I was a Board member at South Hill Park Arts Centre. I strongly believe this important facility enhances the Bracknell community. It offers many ways for people to enjoy themselves either attending the theatre or, learning something different with the many courses on offer
