Alvin FinchI have lived in Bracknell for over 50 years and have had the privilege of representing the Priestwood and Garth ward for 20 years. It was a special honour to serve the area as Mayor in 2018/19. Since being first elected I have been involved in a variety of council committees and panels: Environment and Leisure, Customer Service, Adult Social Care, Licensing and Planning, to name just some. I am also an active member of local organisations. I am aware of the problems of the frailer resident. My late wife Diane worked as a nurse with the elderly in Bracknell and with people with learning disabilities. My families both live very near me. I work for myself providing home and small business computer support. Previously I was involved in airline, travel and defence industries. I have also worked in the care sector. I want to see the continued delivery of high-quality services locally and seek to maintain and improve the quality of life for everyone. To this end, I aim to be working with the other councillors and the relevant agencies on further alleviating the parking and environmental problems that some residents experience. I want to ensure that the green spaces we so enjoy in Priestwood and Garth are maintained, and improved. |
Jennie GreenI have served on Bracknell Borough Council since 2019 and I would be honoured to represent you for the follow-ing 4 years. I have lived in Bracknell for just over 50 years; in Bullbrook, Crown Wood, Easthampstead and finally Garth for the last 25years. I and my daughter were both educated at Garth Hill School, and my grandson is due to commence there in September of this year. I also attended Bracknell College before commencing my first full time job as an Accounts Trainee. After a forty-year career in accounting I chose early retirement from my final position as Director and Company Secretary of an HR Software company, to enable me to care for a family member. My immediate family live in the area. My brother in Garth, my mother in Bullbrook and my daughter and grandson in Warfield. As well as spending time with each of them I own two rescue dogs which I exercise daily at the many fabulous green spaces within our area. During my spare time I enjoy gardening, various exercise sessions at the Bracknell Leisure Centre and theatre trips to South Hill Park. I am keen to ensure that Bracknell continues to be one of the best places to live with our revitalised Town Centre; for the continuation of high standards across our green spaces and play areas which we all enjoy. Being a daughter, mother, grandmother and sister, I am aware of the problems that can be encountered throughout our various generations and want to ensure the continued delivery of high-quality local family ser-vices. |
Hazel Hillhave lived and worked in Bracknell for the past thirty years. My daughters attended local schools and visited local amenities such as exploring at the Look-Out, ice skating at the former John Nike’s site or swimming at Coral Reef or the Leisure Centre. They have now moved away and I have time to support the local community. I hope to serve as your local Councillor for Priestwood and Garth in the forth-coming election. I have served as a Councillor for the past eight years, and now seeking to be a Borough Councillor. During my time I have served on all the committees, Planning, Leisure, Environment and Strategy and Policy, which has given me an insight and understanding of the how a council works. My interest is in environmental issues and climate change which relate to my knowledge and expertise. Over the years many residents would have had a letter or visit from me in my former role, with BFC, in encouraging you with regard to energy efficiency. This knowledge serves me well to know the local area. If elected I would be keen to serve on the Planning Committee where new developments continue to develop the area providing much needed affordable housing, without spoiling the local area, equally to approve appropriate extensions for growing families. I hope you will support me in the forthcoming election so that I can serve the local community in Priestwood and Garth. |
