Colin DudleyI have lived in Forest Park for almost 30 years and both my children went to school in Bracknell. I have been a Bracknell Forest Councillor since 2003 and am proud to have helped hundreds of my neighbours with wide ranging issues, often easing their worries by just having someone to understand and listen to their worries. I have served on Royal Berkshire Fire Authority as Chairman for 11 years, helping to protect and improve our fantastic Fire Service. My priorities have always been to keep our area a great place to live and work, protect our green spaces and be a point of contact for residents who need help accessing our services. As your elected councillor, I have always tried to be the point of contact for those who need assistance. During Covid, I delivered PPE to affected residents, delivered food to vulnerable residents who found it difficult to leave their homes and was a friendly voice to those who felt isolated. Being your councillor is a privilege, and I never take this for granted. If re-elected I promise to work on behalf of residents of our new ward of Swinley Forest representing you, my neighbours, to the very best of my ability. |
Ash MerryI am very fortunate to have lived in Swinley Forest ward for 30 years, having come here as a new mother in 1993 and served as a proud army officer for 8 years. Putting country and community before self is important to me and my military training has given me an excellent framework to tackle life’s challenges and to be an effective and dedicated councillor. Living in the ward enables me to respond quickly and maintain regular contact with residents. Sharing first-hand concerns affecting my neighbours gives me the empathy to find compromises and hopefully solutions through a common-sense approach. I have been a councillor for 8 years. With your support I am keen to serve another term to ensure the best outcomes for all. My experience as a councillor has taught me to recognise what matters to residents, identify issues which need to be prioritised and to sincerely value our shared community. I do not underestimate the challenges ahead for local councils, businesses, communities and individuals in these fast-changing times. Undoubtedly a strong councillor team able to make tough decisions is essential to continue to deliver a high level of services to residents. If, with your support, I am elected to serve another term my focus will be: keeping our ward green clean and safe and retaining cost-effective essential services by working collaboratively and ensuring accountability to you as residents. I remain committed to ensuring service personnel, veterans and their families receive the assistance they are entitled to and deserve. |
