Cllr Peter HeydonI have lived in Bracknell for 14 years. My association goes much further back having worked for a local IT company. I have, for the last 12 years, served Borough and Town Councils representing Old Bracknell. I moved recently, and with the new ward boundaries, I now live in the Town and The Park Ward. Since 2015 I have been the Executive Member responsi-ble for Transformation and Finance. I am proud of our record over what has been a turbulent and dramatic period for us all. We are one of the most financially sound authorities, with some of the lowest council taxes, yet maintaining and improving all our front line services. Our successful Transformation Programme has been key to our success and will continue to be in future. In addition to being a member of the Council’s executive, I have been a member of various committees including Employment, Planning, Town Centre Regeneration, Corporate Parenting and Governance & Audit. I also represent Bracknell Forest on other bodies and am a board member of the Bracknell Forest Cambium Partner-ship – a joint venture developing and maintaining our interests in the Borough. I am committed to Bracknell Forest and residents are my key priority. I have always maintained an active presence within my ward, holding regular resident and street surgeries, and believe I have established a reputation of being approachable and responsive. I value being a Councillor, I view my role as your link between the council and the community, providing representation and leadership. If you elect me you will find me accessible and a frequent figure on the streets usually identifiable by my blue high-vis jacket! |
Cllr Suki HayesI have lived in The Parks for 2 years and I am proud to say that I have lived in Bracknell Forest since 1987. I was privileged to be first elected by residents in Crown Wood in 2011 and I have tried on their behalf to attain their requirements to the best of my ability. I am now standing in the Town Centre and The Parks. I am a working mother with two young children and I understand the pressures and challenges that families face in these trying times financially and multi-tasking with home and careers. I am an avid listener to the voice of the residents and passionate about representing and solving the problems and issues that are important to you. I have many local interests and have served residents at the following committees: Chair of Corporate Parenting Advisory Panel; Education, Skills and Growth Overview and Scrutiny Panel. I work as a Specialist Services Manager, providing specialist respite services for children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities. For me it is important that everyone has the right to be included and have a voice. Being a Councillor has enabled me to speak on behalf of residents. If re-elected I will represent you and work hard for the benefit of all. You can be assured the voice of the residents will be heard. |
