Underpasses clear after work to stabilise power supply and prevent repeated flooding Monday, 1 May, 2023 Flooding at the sports centre underpass in November 2022 was caused by roots growing into a drain. This was cleared, and further work saw replacement of a pump which was no longer working. However, repeated flooding at this underpass, and the one near KFC (Bagshot Road) and 48, occurred in early 2023 as a result of continuing issues with the power supply to water pumps.
